Who can be a philanthropist, anyway?

Me, you and anyone who has a desire to help.

When I was growing up, I would beg my parents to buy additional toys for toy drives at school without knowing how challenging it was for them to get the toys I was so lucky to receive each Christmas. They did all this while keeping a roof over our heads and food on the table.

Generosity has always been an important part of my life and philanthropy, I recently learned, isn't just for the super wealthy. Anyone who has time and talent they are willing to give can be considered a philanthropist.

So here I am with a whole lot of time and plenty of talent trying to make a tiny bit of change that will ripple out into the wave of change I wish to see.
